Relationship Counselling

Whether you're in a relationship or not, therapy can help work out thoughts and feelings when things go wrong and this leads to improvement in the situation and/ or how you feel.

In a relationship
When in a relationship it's pretty normal to hit some difficult times especially if living together, but sometimes things remain difficult and this could be arguments, irritation, frustration or anxiety and sometimes a person or couple do not know what is wrong or how to fix it. Sometimes only one person attends counselling to address relationship issues.  This can be because the other person can't or won't attend, or because the individual would like to attend to other aspects while they're in therapy that wouldn't involve their partner.

Some significant changes can take place during relationship counselling with one person and the knock on affect of personal therapy changes the significant relationship and how it operates. Women tend to be the one focused on repairing relationships and sometimes this helps but sometimes professional help is needed.  The focus in therapy is on you, the individual. Therapy uses special techniques and approaches that alter your way of being so that relationships either improve or move to a place where

Not in a Relationship
Many people seek therapy to work out where they could be going wrong in relationships.  Maybe you're repeating the same negative pattern or maybe you don't now know what you want from a partner any more. At all stages of life, relationships come to the forefront at some point and therapy can help us make better choices and decisions which helps get into more rewarding and satisfying relationships.
