My aim is to improve how a person feels, how they manage life experiences and increase self esteem and self validation as they become self assured. Improving the quality of relationships is always an on-going thread underlying my psychotherapy process. While this process happens, people find that they are able to understand their thoughts and feelings making problems more manageable and past experiences get worked through as they come up.
When working in full psychotherapy, one aim is to reduce neurosis and to facilitate a persons growth into authenticity, perhaps reducing aspects of themselves that were identified with too much and increasing the parts to them that were not developed enough.
These therapies focus on self-development, growth and responsibility in the now. They seek to help individuals recognise their strengths, creativity and personal choice to include gaining a clearer sense of the reality as it is now, philosophy, self awareness of personal experience of life, how we meet our personal needs, self worth, validation and value, higher level consciousness (& spirituality- no religious aspect). Your core belief system, moral codes and other scripts you run in life are explored and often challenged. These types of therapies also involve interpersonal relations and and communication exploration and training.

Psychoanalytical and psychodynamic approaches I draw upon work with your unconscious processing and funtionning to bring to awareness that which is unconsious and so affecting your feelings, your thoughts and perceptions, including that which have developed throughout childhood. All of these affect how you live your life and your sense of well-being. You reason for being and your purpose in life can be reflected upon and clarified. The aim is to achieve balance and mental health & well-being as well as to enable continuous progress through life.
Cognitive and behavioural therapies I work with include CBT, REBT, Mindfulness CBT and aim to assist you to recondition your thinking and behaviour to something that works better for you.
I also draw upon Emotionally Focussed Therapy, Evolutional Psychology, Sociology, Hypnotherapy, Nutrition, Eco-Therapy, Auto-Genics and Relationship Psychology.
